nelly2pcm

January 7th, 2009

This is a little modification of the original nelly2pcm program.

Without this patch, the extracted audio stream doesn’t respect the video timing.

When you record a video and audio stream with flash, the audio stream is encoded by the flash-player (client side) and send to a RTMP server (like Flash Media Server). Sometimes, the flashplayer doesn’t have enough cpu time to properly encode the audio stream. In this case, the audio stream have somes ‘holes’. But is in sync with video stream.

Nelly2pcm output only 32 milliseconds trame for each nelly’s trame. But some trame can be longer (I have see 1400 ms). So, audio stream can have a bad lenght (smaller than video stream).

With my patch, nelly2pcm insert blank output in order to respect the video timing.
